Agustin Victor Casasola (1874–1928) was a Mexican photographer. He is at the origin of the first press photo agency in Mexico Agencia Fotografica Mexicana. He is the eye witness of the Mexican Revolution.

This photography by Casasola taken in 1917 represents Fortino Samano, a revolutionary accused of manufacturing counterfeit money financing the Revolution and sentenced to death. Taken a few minutes before his execution, Fortino Samano, in front of the wall where he will be shot, appears mockingly, with a smile on his lips and smoking a cigar.
